Our 100% certified organic chia protein powder is produced by sun-drying chia seeds before milling them into a fine powder. It is grey to light brown in colour with a characteristically chia-like taste. Our organic chia powder is an excellent source of protein, fibre and omega 3 fatty acids.
Chia seeds are derived from the Salvia hispanica L. plant which is endemic to Central America. Its history in food culture has been traced all the way back to the Aztecs in 2400 BC. Today, chia is a popular superfood in Western cuisines and is used to enhance the nutritional value, flavour and consistency of a wide range of foods.
