Our 100% organic tapioca syrup is made of tapioca starch and comes in a liquid form. It is obtained from the storage roots of the Manihot esculenta plant, commonly known as 'cassava' or 'manioc'. This brown-skinned root is native to various regions of Asia, Africa, and South America. For the production of tapioca syrup, the cassava is harvested and ground into starch, and then broken down into a syrup using GMO-free enzymes. Our organic tapioca syrup serves as an alternative ingredient to conventional table sugar, honey, molasses, and maple syrup. It is light-yellow with a neutral scent, viscous texture, and sweet taste.
