Our 100% organic cashews are won from the tropical evergreen Anacardium occidentale tree, hence actually a relative of mangos and pistachios. Cashews are prized as a nutrient-rich nut for their wide range health benefits. The classification W320 indicates that our organic raw cashews are whole in form, white in colour, and that there are approximately 320 nuts in one pound of cashews. We also have broken kernels available.
The English word 'cashew' is rooted in the Portuguese word 'caju'. According to some studies, raw cashews may help prevent heart disease, reduce the risk of diabetes, and even support in cancer eradication.
